N+1 is an independent entity specialised in high added value financial products and services. More than 140 persons work in the Group, which activities can be grouped in two business areas:
Investment Banking
N+1 Corporate Finance is the leading independent Spanish advisory firm. N+1’s comprehensive service range in this business is structured into three departments: M&A, Financing and Real Estate. The services provided by N+1 to its clients are noted for their specialisation (by sector and product) and high value added.
N+1 is a benchmark advisor on cross-border transactions involving Spanish companies. Over half of the transactions advised on are cross-border deals.
Strategically we target three classes of clients:
- Large private, family-held Spanish groups.
- Listed companies, mainly mid-caps.
- Institutional investors, such as the main private equity investment funds operating in Spain, the savings banks and family offices.
N+1 has traditionally excelled as benchmark advisor on middle market transactions, with a strong focus on the €30-500mn segment, although in recent years the Group has played a growing role in larger transactions.
Business Segment
N+1's global offer in this area is structured in three departments:
- Mergers & Acquisitions: N+1 Corporate Finance provides advisory services to companies and institutions on corporate transactions and capital market operations and on their internationalisation process.
N+1 Corporate Finance on firmly to its position as the leading independent M&A house in 2008, with 12 transactions closed.
- Financing: N+1 Corporate Finance has a specialist division, the leader in the Spanish market, devoted to the provision of corporate finance advisory services. In 2008 and 2009 N+1 Corporate Finance was particularly active in debt refinancing advisory work, successfully advising 14 companies on restructuring a combined total of €11bn of debt. Under the framework of these refinancing deals, N+1 also advised these companies on the sale of properties to creditor banks for an aggregate of €1,190mn. Virtually all the refinancings closed were in the real estate sector, although the department is currently working on refinancings in other sectors such as construction, consumer goods and industry.
- Real Estate: N+1 Real Estate provides specialist services in the real estate/ hotel sector. The approach of N+1 to this type of assets focuses on companies in the sector, financial institutions, Real Estate funds and Family Offices. N+1 has the experience gained on the completion of more than 30 transactions in the sector, including advice on transactions involving companies and assets, financing and refinancing, inter alia.
N+1 has traditionally excelled as benchmark advisor on middle market transactions, although in recent years the Group has played a growing role in larger transactions.
Asset Management
Over the years, N+1 has become a formidable alternative investment platform, specialised in advising on, promoting, developing and managing investment products.
