Eramet the quoted metal mining group has acquired Valdi the battery recycling specialist subsidiary of AFE.
Eramet is strengthening its position in recycling in Europe with the Valdi acquisition. This SME, subisidiary of AFE is dedicated since its incorporation in 1997 in the recycling of non-ferrous metals. Valdi employs 90 people and had a turnover of Euro 25m in 2008. The amount of the transaction has not been disclosed.
With operations in two sites near Saint Etienne and near Loges, Valdi recycles domestic batteries and also petrol industry catalysts.
