STRABAG SE has acquired 100% of the Swiss StraBAG Group, which consists of the construction firms StraBAG Strassenbau und Beton AG, Witta Bau AG and Frey + Götschi AG.
The privately owned Swiss StraBAG Group is a market leader in the Zurich region, while Frey + Götschi AG is also active in the neighbouring cantons of Aargau and Schwyz. The main business activity is in the areas of road construction, civil engineering and underground construction as well as paving and surfacing. In 2007, the group employed 168 people and generated overall revenues of CHF 44.9m.
